"The Bahá'í Message is a call to religious unity and not an invitation to a new religion, not a new path to immortality, God forbid! It is the ancient path cleared of the debris of imaginations and superstitions of men, of the debris of strife and misunderstanding and is again made a clear path to the sincere seeker, that he may enter therein in assurance, and find that the Word of God is one Word, though the Speakers were many.

"Throughout history, God has sent to humanity a series of divine Educators—known as Manifestations of God—whose teachings have provided the basis for the advancement of civilization. These Manifestations have included Abraham, Krishna, Zoroaster, Moses, Buddha, Jesus, and Muḥammad. Bahá’u’lláh, the latest of these Messengers, explained that the religions of the world come from the same Source and are in essence successive chapters of one religion from God.

Bahá’ís believe the crucial need facing humanity is to find a unifying vision of the future of society and of the nature and purpose of life. Such a vision unfolds in the writings of Bahá’u’lláh.

28th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Festival

The 28th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Festival will be held on Monday January 19th 2026 at the Manitou Art Center. The event will begin at noon and end at 5pm. Free for the Public! A great event for all ages!

This event is a celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream and his conviction of the oneness of humanity. You can expect hands on arts and crafts for all ages, and several collaborative art projects to participate in. There will also be free guided painting, designed and guided by a local artist. Finally, we will have a creative space to learn more about our country’s Extraordinary Black Heros, including a tribute to a local Manitou Family, who goes back almost 200 years, after escaping from slavery. A family who deserves to be celebrated for making history over and over. Multicultural treats will also be served.

Baha'is believe work done in a spirit of service is worship! We are always looking for new service opportunities! Just let us know how we can help! We are currently partnering with Concrete Couch to develop an art based service project for our children, youth and junior youth to participate in. We are still building our tiny community here in Manitou Springs, but we are ready and experienced to lead children's virtue classes, junior youth empowerment programs, study groups and lead service projects. We are also well connected to the wider Colorado Baha'i Community and all the programs they offer.

Our Impact

Baha'is are making a difference around the world. This Faith is one of the most global communities working to unite neighborhoods while preserving cultural diversity.

Our goal is to find like minded groups also working to make an impact in their community and work along side of them.

Baha'is believe in investigation of truth for one's self. We do not have clergy. Each individual must interpret scripture for themselves. If you DO want to visit, feel free to ring the bell and if someone is home we are always happy to visit or simply pray together.
